The Building Safety Act (BSA)

The Building Safety Act (BSA) is an important law that's shaking things up for building owners, managers, and residents alike. It's introducing a whole bunch of new rules around fire safety and building standards, especially for taller buildings over 18 meters or seven stories high.

On top of that, the BSA gives the government the power to bring in more rules, like the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.

These regulations add extra responsibilities for the Responsible Person, such as regularly checking fire doors and making sure there are clear signs to guide people in case of emergency.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by all these new responsibilities, don't worry! We're here to help. Our team at Habitare can take care of some of these tasks for you, so you can focus on other important things.

Rest assured, we're always keeping a close eye on the latest requirements to make sure we're providing the best guidance possible to keep everyone safe.

I’ve been working closely with Emma Gamby at Habitare for over seven months now, and throughout that time she has been nothing but professional, courteous, and extremely responsive. We’ve had to deal with a fairly major issue during this period, which meant working together quite closely, and Emma has been consistently calm, organised, and proactive. She always responds quickly, keeps things moving, and communicates clearly, which has made a stressful situation much easier to manage. Emma is a real asset to the company and an absolute pleasure to deal with. It’s rare to come across someone who is not only highly professional but also so approachable and reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Emma and this company!

I've been a conveyancer for more years than I care to mention and I've dealt with hundreds of managing agents during that time - some good, some absolutely appalling, but very few as excellent as Habitare. What a breath of fresh air! Louise has been unbelievably helpful, and she has gone out of her way today to get me some information so that I could exchange on a sale - well above and beyond the call of duty, and my clients and I are very grateful indeed. Thank you Louise and Habitare!!
